For the first time in two years I am taking a break from school. I have been taking classes (fall, spring, and summer) without a break for too long and I needed some time to step back from it all and enjoy myself a little. At this point I'm just working and spending my evenings watching movies and baking unessisary sweets.
I probably ought to be using my free time in a more constructive fashion. Hopefully I will create some art.
Josh Ritter and his band were AMAZING last night. I have never seen a group of guys to genuinely happy to be playing.
Josh writes one hell of a song but it was the pure excitement of the show that really moved me. At one point in the show (during the song Kathleen) he had every couple in the audience slow dance for a minute or so. If it sounds cheesy... it was. But it was also delightful. Our generation could use a little break from cynacism just like I needed a break from homework.
I'm venturing out into the world of blogging. I've been inspired by so many blogs lately that I decided I just had to have my own. I plan to share art, recipes, and various other images I find exciting. To start this blog off right, I'll share a video from a wonderful singer/songwriter that Jacob and I are going to see tonight.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!
on Summer for a student means getting organized.
